Update to original Post : Finally read response from salesman below. What a crock of BS. Still waiting for refund. The price match guarentee was not from a US website but Canadian. Oddly, because of my complaint the Canadian price went up from the original price ! hmmmm funny how that works hu?.... Regardless,waiting 10 weeks for a chair ( was supposed to be 4 ) and paid for the one in store they tried to cheap out so as not to have to pay the cost of 2 deliveries. Geeezus... what in Gods name ever happened to customer care and service? Watch your wallet here folks.. once you open it, its all down hill from there. Go to another store to get your Lazy Boy Like Kelowna or order it on line ! Better deal !! It appears Im not alone with my opinions just read the reviews. It just pisses me off to no end when companys like this take advantage of your hard earned dollars entrusted to them. Bad form Country Wide! You just lost 3 grand and more customers !Put a substantial deposit down on 2 Lazy boy recliners one in store the other on order purchased for a gift - delivery included in price. REALLY looking forward to the reknowned chairs. First chair in store available no call for delivery date. Called store, they wanted to charge extra for delivery. Finally- they set a date including the cost of delivery. The day before the delivery for chair to arrive, they emailed and asked for more money BEFORE they would deliver the chair. ( One chair already paid in full ). I canceled the order totally. Requested refund. They applied it to the wrong card. I asked them to cancel the incorrect refund and I would come to the store, then they could apply the refund correctly. She said she would and have it done via there accountant and would call me back. I then received an email stating they would not make the correction. Then- I asked to speak to the owner. They put me to the salesmen who declared he was the owner. I knew at this point i was getting the run around. Confirmed who the real owner is and waiting for a call back. Salesman stated the reason he would not make the correction on refund was because he saw this post. Id be happy to remove it as soon as I get the refund. Also, the online price match guarentee they offer is bogus. They refused to honor it when I demonstrated the cheaper advertised price. 500.00 difference in price = Big difference.Once you pay for and order a product with this store, customer service is downhill from there. Sad but true. The other reviews are accurate . Very sad and unnessary to treat people this way, Not to mention hugely frustrating and upsetting !!
Aweful store. We bought a couch from here, they said 2-3 weeks for delivery. 10 weeks later still no couch. Staff gave us the run around. Finally spoke to manager and he said it would be at least another 4 weeks. Obviously was feeling angry and frustrated at this point. Finally, couch came... with a massive rip all along the front. The delivery men actually left said ripped couch(well half of it as it was s sectional)they took the ripped half and our own couches away. When I called the store they offered to replace it with the floor model, I said ok if they give me a discount. This is where it gets really good. No discount but the sales man actually said dont worry, if someone really fat comes in we send them over to the lazy boy side. At this I was done, I told them to come and get this cursed couch and bring mine back. They did, although ours had been stored in a garage so had grease smears on them. I had to physically go into the store for a refund. The manager left me and my two kids downstairs for over an hour. The poor front desk lady was the only who felt bad for the situation. The floor sales man told me its a lot of drama for a small sale, maybe if you would have bought a more expensive set I would receive better service. When the manager eventually did wander down he told me he wouldnt be able to give me a refund today and maybe my husband should come back next time. I kinda lost it at this point, enough that other costumers were walking out. My husband did leave work to come and support me and what do you know! Two minutes later our visa was refunded. I cant even believe I have spent the energy writing this out, but I have never before been treated so poorly! Obviously I would recommend not going here, and if you do and they direct you to the lazy boy side...Ps. I took my money to the brick and have been enjoying our sectional since.
We purchased two small swivel club chairs with custom fabric (Best Home Furnishings brand) for different areas of our house, not knowing what to expect. Wow...were we in for a pleasant surprise! The two chairs arrived wrapped in plastic and boxed (huge boxes). Best packaging I've ever seen! I'm extremely picky and can't find fault with either chair. Fabric is flawlessly and symmetrically applied, even on the two cushions we purchased, a perfect match. We were so impressed with both chairs that we decided to order a third chair to pair up with one of them (photo attached) and flank our fireplace. We waited longer than we'd anticipated for our order to arrive but it was well worth the wait!! Buy with confidence!
Went in to look for a single desk chair and found one that we liked. We initially did not see a price on it so the salesman left to go and check on it for us. While he was gone we found the price sticker of $199, and when he returned he told us the price was $299. When questioned about the substantial price discrepancy he once again left to go and 'check' and returned with the explanation that the cost is $199 but only if we purchase two. Right. We have since seen these chairs in other stores ranging in price anywhere from $90-$150. Needless to say we have just crossed this store off of our list of places to check for our future furniture needs. Its unfortunate as Kamloops does not have many such stores to choose from.
Knowledgeable staff; no pressure to buy. It was a refreshing experience.
