Initially I had called in nearly two weeks ago to get an appointment for gel nails. The lady said if I could get there quickly then she could get me in. When I got there I was told I could not be seen today. Not a big deal, I was already in town. We rescheduled the appointment. Firstly the facility is claustrophobic feeling and does not have the personal feel that some other salons provide. I had gotten my nails done last week and the nail tech told me that the nails she does last 3-4 weeks as long as I took care of them. On the second day of having the nails one nail was cracking but I could not fix it because I was not in town. The nails were on for 4.5 days before they started peeling off. I did take care of the nails and did not use them as tools or around any acetone. The service was also slow. I would not recommend this place to any friends. I had tried La Dolcevita out to see what else was out there and I was mistaken to do so. I will be returning to my regular, pleasant salon and spa that is friendlier, more open, cleaner and personal. Only good aspect was the dog (Miko?), she was the best part of the experience.

I am very particular when it comes to my hair... mostly because I have a weird shaped head and my hair is thin, curly and annoying. Laurie is the only one I will trust with my hair. In fact, I drive 2 hours from my home in Lake Country just to see her at La Dolcevita. She is an artist with the scissors and colour. From short hair to long, she always does a beautiful job. Laurie is truly amazing!
