Good for the price and not bad rooms. The bed was s little rough but it wasint the worst. Breakfast had a nice selection of waffles , eggs, sausages, yogurt, drinks, cereal and a little more. The hot tub was overrun with rowdy guests the night we stayed and there seemed to be little control over the situation which is why I didn't give 4 stars, could it relax with people crowding. The rooms were quite as can be on this note all was well minus the inconvenience.
The desk staff in the evening and the morning were very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is a bit dated, and our shower was cracked and needing caulking and grout. The free breakfast in the morning was not the greatest from the eggs and breakfast meats perspective since they were cold, but there were good options for cereal, yogurt, fruit, muffins and toast. If you're doing an overnight stop, it will do. If you're going there for "date night" maybe don't. ;)
The rooms are clean and reasonably well maintained. They are not fancy but they are functional and caring. The manager, Hero, truly goes above and beyond and his staff are friendly and fun. It felt like staying at a friend's home much of the time.
I am terribly disappointed in our experience. I had booked 2 rooms after reading the reviews. We arrived at the Quality Inn to have the desk attendant distracted and had to prompt for information on the continental breakfast. We were given the keys to our room. We enter one room and found it to be occupied which was uncomfortable to both parties. The desk attendant did not apologize for the inconvenience, but just handed us keys to another room. The two rooms we had, had the following issues:- no hot water in the sink- toilet not clean: had to wipe urine off the seat- broken headboard with wood fragments sticking out- broken fire sprinkler systemApparently the previous occupants had trashed the room. I am very disappointed that the staff were not honest with us regarding the state and safety of the rooms. I feel they should have made every effort to provide us with different accommodations. Quality Inn will never have my business again.
I got in late, around 2:00 AM, so all I needed was a nice and comfortable room and good breakfast, which this hotel was able to deliver. Breakfast had Sausage, eggs, and other stuff. Pretty good pricing for the summer. Location is great, walking distance to Aberdeen Mall, as well as Starbucks, a Dollar Store, pizza place, Fish and chips place, and more. Room was nice and clean, overall a really nice hotel and really good service as well. Next time I travel through Kamloops, this hotel will definitely be on my mind.
